Don’t you count your Nikkor manual focus lenses?

I don’t keep the manual Nikkor well. They are damaged by moulds now.

Well that has to do with the humid weather in HK I suppose. For the kind of “photography” I do I have no problem using my manual Nikkors. One of the many things I like the pro models is they allow you to do metering with the AIS lenses, (though I can always use sunny 16 rule ha ha), and you can even enter the focal length to get the EXIF data in the system.
I found that it just pays to buy Nikkors, especially you plan to resell it. Any 3rd party lenses just can’t command the kind of resale prices.

I am missing the micro prism and split image focusing screen on the old Nikon. With only ground screen and my poor eyesight, I doubt how I could make perfect focus manually. The autofocus is never perfect on the cheap D40x (A really good excuse for loussy photo
).
Yes, the Nikkor rules no matter what your plan is. Unless you use a Canon.

Okay, nothing to add. Just want to see if the gravatar is working or not.
