This is the first chinese own wafer production facilities. Their products is in lighting and microwave amplification semiconductor. Hope this would be the first step in establishing a whole array of companies capable of production wafer for all different kinds of semiconductors and I could still live to see this happening.

I was looking for the google map, but come across google’s new chrome browser. Okay, it just take less than 5 minutes to download and install and the ui of the browser is really lean and save all possible screen real estate for your browsing. The title bar is gone, the status bar is something Ad-hoc. The address bar and the search engine bar are merged. Browser feature’s seems more web oriented than software oriented. Like the bookmark. When you start a new tab, you got some thumbnails showing you most visited website and a button to bring up your bookmarks. The speed of web surfing feels to be improved, but it is just a feeling.
The problem I encounter is that google chrome cannot render some chinese page correctly and I need to select the coding to correct the problem. Some on line video sharing website cannot be properly displayed also.
I have removed the google chrome after my trial as I don’t want to rely on just one company provide all I need. That is not a good idea as we have microsoft dominating everything now. I just don’t wan’t to see google become the next microsoft. Let’s hold on to firefox and thunderbird for now.

The next and last photographic trip in 2008. A 7 days tour to the north western part of China. To the Jilin province. Shooting will be take place at 3 locations. The first location is Xiang Hai where we will be shooting red crown cranes (birds) in a natural reservation region. We will stay there for 2 days. The second location is “Island Frozen Pines” a place about 40km north of Jilin city. We will stay there at the 4th and 7th date. The 5th and 6th dates will be staying in the third location, Nai Tou River (Nipple River).
As this is a sub-zero temperature time and region, I have to get ready for all the clothings needed.
