This must be taken with your 70-200? Hand-held with VR on? Handheld with VR really opens up a lot of possibilities. But then again tripod is not bad either. In terms of DSLR, I think I will just stick with my D70 for now and just concentrate on taking better pictures instead of just taking pictures. Usually when the scene is lit well, the picture normally looks good. But if the exposure is off or shoot to the sun or shoot in low light, then D70 sucks balls, I guess that can be said about most cameras too. I just need to keep the sensor clean, more than once I notice dirt on clear sky.
You are right, this is taken handheld with VR with my 70-200. In low light, don’t hesitate to crank up the ISO to 800 or 1600. It would still be fine if you are not blowing the photo up real big.
